Nobel
The Nobel Prize site was a surprising source as it was not immediately evident that Marconi had won a physics prize. However it has a very in depth biography that was very helpful.
Elon University, Imagining the Internet
This site was an excellent source for dates, names and places. It focused more on the timeline aspect of the various medias that led to the development of the internet. It did lack biographical information on the various people it discussed which meant for more digging.
History.com
History.com provided several of the videos that are on this site. They were very general and did not go into any kind of depth with the subject of the telephone, but the videos provided a good summary of Bell's work.
W3.org
When looking for information on web standards, what better place is there to go than to the website of the man who created many of those standards. W3.org is a site that provides information on the standards of the web, the history of web development and tools for modern developers. It is the collaborative effort of many companies including Google, Mozilla, Adobe, Opera and more that is run by MIT, more specifically Tim Berners-Lee (creator of the World Wide Web). The aim of the site is to create a source for web documentation. It provided excellent information on the history of the web as well as biographical information on Tim Berners-Lee.
The Canadian Encyclopedia
The Canadian Encyclopedia provided information on Alexander Graham Bell. It was very focused on him which was helpful for writing the biography page. It also provided several primary resources, one of which was used on this site.
Apple Insider
This source was used for some of the more minute details such as the information on Apple and Microsoft's market shares in the PC Operating System world. They provided other information regarding Apple products, but that was not necessarily useful information.
